The lower portion of the face around the mouth and nose shows some of the earliest signs of aging, such as smile lines and nasolabial folds. A mini facelift targets this area and is less extensive than a full facelift.

What is the Procedure for a Facelift?
For a full facelift, Dr. Barbour makes incisions along the hairline and in the natural crease in front of the ear. He may use sutures to tighten the facial muscles and reposition fat.
A mini facelift requires fewer incisions that may be made under the chin or along the ear. The underlying muscles are not modified during a mini face lift.
Liposuction may be used to remove any smaller pockets of fat that cannot be excised during the surgery.
What Should I Expect After a Facelift?
For the first two weeks, you will need to rest at home and limit your activities. Your face may have bruising and swelling, especially around your eyes. It can take up to 12 months for you to see the full results of your face lift.
